Bhopal,
the city of lakes , is a fascinating amalgam of scenic beauty, old historic
city and modern urban planning. It is situated on the 11 th century city,
Bhojapal, founded by Raja Bhoja but the present city was established by an
Afghan soldier, Dost Mohammed(1707-1740). His progeny ruled Bhopal until
1947 when the state finally joined the Indian Union.Old Bhopal still bears
the aristocratic imprint of its former rulers. Four generations of powerful
enlightened Begums who ruled Bhopal from 1819 to 1926.Now, the city is
the capital of the state of Madhya Pradesh. The city of Bhopal is quite a
